Korea’s top 10 machine technologies that shone this year were announced.
The Korea Federation of Machinery and Technology Societies (Chairman Lee Jae-jong) announced on the 1st that it had selected and announced the ‘2022 Korea’s Top 10 Machinery Technologies of the Year’.
‘Korea’s Top 10 Machinery Technologies of the Year’ selects excellent products or technologies in the machinery field developed in Korea during the year. In addition, it was first enacted in 2013 by the Korea Federation of Machinery and Technology Societies for the purpose of praising researchers for their hard work and publicizing excellent domestic machinery technology to the outside world.
Industry technologies include ▲ 3000-ton submarine ‘Dosan An Chang-ho’ (Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering) ▲ Korea’s only mRNA vaccine-supported lipid nanoparticle manufacturing technology and commercialization of equipment (enParticle) ▲ World’s first spherical transparent big ice-making technology for refrigerators (LG Electronics) ) ▲The next-generation GTF engine overhaul technology installed in the new Airbus A320neo Family aircraft (Korea Air) ▲Independent cryogenic high manganese steel tanks for LNG fuel propulsion ships (Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering) were selected.
The technologies of academia and research institutes include ▲microrobot-based cardiovascular interventional treatment system for rapid and precise treatment of cardiovascular diseases (Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology) ▲clothing-type muscle strength assisting wearable robot that can be worn as easily and lightly as everyday clothes (Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials) ▲ Combined stealth technology for simultaneous visual, radar, and infrared evasion for next-generation aircraft (Yonsei University) ▲ Korean launch vehicle ‘Nuri-ho’ (Korea Aerospace Research Institute) ▲ Artificial intelligence firefighters leading early suppression of fires (Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials) were selected.
The selected technology will be awarded a selection plaque at the ‘2022 Machinery Day’ event held on the 2nd of this month.
On the other hand, the Federation of Machinery Technology Societies was established in 2001 with the goal of promoting common development through mutual cooperation among organizations related to mechanical engineering and machinery industry in Korea, and contributing to the development and dissemination of machinery-related industrial technology in Korea.
